Translation Problems Between English and German
One of the biggest problems when translating between the two languages is that they are so similar.

For example the word discriminated in English should be followed (usually) by the word against. The very similar German word does not require any such qualifyer.

The word since is more complicated than the very similar concept in German.

Both languages use very similar past tenses but the rules about when they should be used are different.

Both languages use very similar prepositions but agian they are often used differently from one language to the other and prepositions in English are much more complicated than in German because they must do a lot of the work that German cases do.
