Science Fiction

I am a writer and illustrator and one of my favourite subjects is Science Fiction. I am writing a story set in the far future and creating illustrations. I post the story on the internet as soon as I write it and an awful lot of science fiction materiel is being produced in the process. For Example:-

Tarazet this is the sicence fiction story itself. The story is set in the far future. It is slowly growing into a space opera of epic scale. I want it to have a flavour of The Call of Cthulu, but at the same time something exciting, something Star Wars like.
I am contemplating using the city of Tarazet for the backdrop to lots of different but interlinked stories whicg skip across time and dimensions.

A collection of creatures that are mostly designed for a science fiction setting but there are a few others in there too. One of the most satisfying illustration task is doodling and watching as a leg appears and then some glittering fangs, until soon you have a cool sci fi monster.
For the Tarazet universe I want to include among the usual monsters some powerful elder creatures who seem monsterous and are beyond human understanding but are perhaps something else.

Space ships are the thing I most enjoy drawing and colouring and so this is probably the fastest growing section of the science fiction pages. I love designing the inside of the spacecraft and the outside too. How it woulod look skidding between asteroids, landed on a hostile world, and what the crew quaters look like too.

Robots are some of the real stars of science fiction, from giant robots to small humanoid androids. Here are some of my designs. Some of the most important characters in the Tarazet universe are going to be robots. Robots who have lived longer than any human and seen and experienced things that perhaps they shouldn't have. Robots with secrets. Evil robots and those that can not be so simply dismissed.

Art Tutorials I have been experimenting with ways to get my ideas on the screen as quickly and atractively as possible and here are some of the techniques I have come to rely on. The whole are of digital art is so huge that I am very much at the exploratory stages and I view these pages more as the makings of a blog than a detailed set of digital art tutorials.

The Tarot Cards of the Future. One of the characters in the Tarazet story uses Tarot cards and it seemed like a good idea to design a futuristic set. A distinguishing feature of the Tarazet universe will be the guidance that characters gain from these cards. The cards will be used by the robots, just bas much as they are by the humans. A very sensitive way of taking a reading of the quantum flux of probability from which the future will be, or already has been, woven.

RPG One of the best ways to realy explore a place or setting in your imagination is to play the role playing game. To put yourself in the spavce boots of the characters in the story and imagine the world in a detail you might not otherwise attempt. I have always thought that playing roleplay games was one of the most creative aspects of human art. Ma rpg is still very much a work in progress but it is already having an influence on the rest of the Tarazet universe.
