Tip: The very old words like ride or shoot tend to be irregular. I Do it(now) I Did it(then) I've Done it(It's over) Present Past Past Participle be was, were been become became become begin began begun blow blew blown break broke broken bring brought brought build built built bust burst burst buy bought bought catch caught caught choose chose chosen come came come cut cut cut deal dealt dealt do did done drink drank drunk drive drove driven eat ate eaten fall fell fallen feed fed fed feel felt felt fight fought fought find found found fly flew flown forget forgot forgotten forgive forgave forgiven freeze froze frozen get got got (gotten in USA) give gave given go went gone grow grew grown have had had hear heard heard hide hid hidden hold held held keep kept kept know knew known lay laid laid lead led led leave left left lie lay lain lose lost lost make made made pay paid paid ride rode ridden ring rang rung say said said see saw seen sell sold sold shake shook shaken shine shone shone sing sang sung sit sat sat shoot shot shot speak spoke spoken spend spent spent stand stood stood take took taken tear tore torn tell told told think thought thought wear wore worn win won won write wrote written I don't think it's a very good idea to try and memorize this list all at once, you shold learn it slowly bit by bit. Only ever memorize one form of a word (at most two) not all three (unless of course you find that you are one of the rare people who finds this helpful and easy while learning English irregular verbs). I think reading a book and refering to a list like this if you need to is much more important than learning the list in one go. |
