We use this form of words to show we are talking about something that happens everyday. This English tenses lesson will show you a few examples of how this works.

 

For example.

 

I work for I.B.M.    (I go into I.B.M everyday and do some work)

I live in Vienna.      (Vienna is my permanent home)

I wash the dishes.  (When the dishes need washing, I do it.)

I do the unpacking and my work mate does the packing.

My dog barks every night.

The delivery comes every Tuesday.
