I Did
We use this form of words to talk about a past action that is not connected to now. If we do not use the …ing form we are talking about a point.
I did my homework yesterday. (The homework is finished and yesterday is over, it is not connected to now) I did the hardest work of my life. (The time of hard work is in the past and over, at least for now) I took the phone call. (The phone call is in the past. I answered the phone) I went to Japan last year. (My trip to Japan is in the past. Last year is a time not connected to now) The English lesson on this page is designed to be simple. The lesson is designed to be learnable on its own without having to lear a lot of other grammar as well. This is done on purpose because I think that Languages (including English) are best learned bit by bit. |
