One of the things I love doing most is designing science fiction equipment and then doing illustrations based on those designs.
  
The “Daring Do”

A space craft I designed myself for my science fiction far future rpg (may it one day be completed) and it takes pride of place. This space craft illustration is of a starcraft kept ready to zoom of on the next adventure at a moments notice. You will notice that it has extreme streamlining for a spacevessel, this comes at a cost but it is invaluable when you need to do a lot of speedy manoeuvring inside the atmospheric envelope of a planet or other body while being chased by deadly bug eyed space aliens.
The starship is very robust indeed and there was one occasion where a pirate captain of one was in the grip of three separate tractor beams with a disabled countermeasures suit, and by hitting full power he was able to break free through sheer brute force.

 

That sort of thing would have torn a lesser spacecraft to pieces and it is the sort of thing that doesn’t appear on a starships equipment list. It’s part of the starships soul, some starships have it, some don’t.

It's little more than a sketch but this design is one of the science fiction illustrations I am most proud of.
